Douglas A. Hunt

Mr. Hunt joined Holladay Properties in 1988.  He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and attended the Medill Graduate School of Journalism at Northwestern University.  He also served in the US Army as a Military Intelligence specialist.

From 1977 until 1996, Mr. Hunt served as a member of the Indiana State Senate, where he was a member of the Finance Committee and specialized in tax and economic development policy and in services for the elderly. At Holladay, Mr. Hunt has had primary responsibility for the creation of the "AmeriPlex" business park in Indianapolis and its counterparts throughout Indiana. "AmeriPlex" is a trademarked brand for Holladay's approach to quality, asset appreciation and environmental care in its business parks. Mr. Hunt has taken a particular interest in architectural and landscape design aspects of Holladay's developments.

Mr. Hunt retains an active interest in civic affairs. He has served as trustee on the Indiana State museum, a hospital in his home community of South Bend and numerous other civic and cultural organizations. He supports a number of national art museums.  Mr. Hunt has been honored by two separate Indiana Governors, one of each political persuasion, with the designation of "Sagamore of the Wabash," Indiana's most important honor to its citizens. Mr. Hunt is also a member of the Urban Land Institute.
