Holladay Properties has completed development of The Illiana in downtown Whiting, IN. The Illiana is located at the southeast corner of 119th Street and Atchison Avenue and is names for the Illiana Hotel, which stood at the sites from 1928 until it was demolished in 2018. The five-story residential community features 4,000 square feet of first floor commercial space and 32 two-bedroom/two-bathroom apartments that vary in size from 904 to 954 square feet. Holladay worked with the City of Whiting and Calumet College of St. Joseph on plans for the building. The college has leased 12 of the apartments for use as dorms.
