Holladay Properties has opened its 18th hotel property and one of 17 current operating hotels. The Try by Hilton is a $13.95 million, four-story, 98-room property located at the corner of Gateway Drive and Phair Way (named for Holladay Properties’ President and CEO, John Phair) within the 40-acre Landing at Cannon Branch mixed-use development. The Tru by Hilton hotel model is offers smaller, more affordable rooms with larger, amenity-filled common area spaces. Construction began in July 2019 and the hotel opened on September 24, 2020. The hotel is under management by Holladay Hospitality Group, which also manages the Inn at Saint Mary’s Hotel & Suites, the Hilton Garden Inn South Bend featuring the Gillespie Conference & Special Events Center, and the Hampton Inn & Suites Heritage Square.
