Holladay welcomes new Senior Vice President

(Indianapolis, Ind.) — Holladay Properties is pleased to welcome David W. Holt as Sr. Vice President — Development & Community Affairs to its Indianapolis, Ind. office. Holt comes to Holladay from Conexus Indiana, where he served as Vice President of Operations and Business Development.

Holt joined Holladay on April 2 and will be responsible for the development of World Connect @ IND, 300 acres of airport-owned land located at the Indianapolis International Airport, as well as on various other development projects throughout the state of Indiana, including NorthPoint, a 300-acre business park in Westfield, Ind. NorthPoint is expected to bring more than 2.5 million square feet of office, advanced manufacturing, and logistics space as well as $200 million in capital investment to the growing community of Westfield.

Holt is well known in the real estate industry and brings a variety of experience to his role with Holladay. During his tenure at Conexus Indiana, he developed, recruited and led the formation of the Conexus Indiana Logistics Council (CILC), a forum of prominent logistics executives throughout the state of Indiana, as well as six regional logistics council in Northwest, North Central, Northeast, Central, Southwest and Southeast Indiana. Under his guidance and leadership, CILC developed Phase I: A Plan for Indiana’s Logistics Future and Delivering Indiana’s Logistics Future, two strategic plans designed to improve Indiana’s transportation network to enhance the environment for companies to grow their businesses, create a more attractive business environment in Indiana, and create high paying jobs for Hoosiers. Holt also chaired the INDOT agency review team for Indiana Governor-elect Eric Holcomb’s Transition Team and moderated Indiana Governor Mike Pence’s Blue Ribbon Panel for Transportation Infrastructure.

In addition to his work with Conexus Indiana, Holt previously served as the Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s Vice-President of Health Care/Education Policy and Federal Relations, where he was an integral part of that organization’s governmental relations team at the federal and state levels. His professional career has also included service in Washington D.C. as Chief of Staff in the Office of Vocational and Adult Education at the U.S. Department of Education, and as a Senior Legislative Aide to a U.S. Representative on Capitol Hill.

Holt holds a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, and serves on numerous boards and advisory committees, including the Greater Indianapolis Foreign Trade Zone Board 72, and the Mid-State Corridor Coalition. He previously served on the City of Indianapolis Board of Water Works, Indiana Professional Standards Board and the State Workforce Innovation Council.  Holt also volunteers as the football commissioner for the St. Malachy Athletic Ministry, coaches the 5th Grade Soccer Team and is a first degree Knight of Columbus.
