(Fairfax, VA) – In March, Holladay Properties hosted an electronic recycling event in conjunction with Ampajen Solutions and Goodwill of Greater Washington at the Yorktown 50 property located at 8316 Arlington Blvd. The event enabled practices and employees at the facility to recycle electronic equipment ranging from computers, monitors, laptops to gaming consoles. According to property manager Tina Rogers, the event was well received and gathered 525 pounds of electronics. Goodwill provides certified data destruction and then will either resell usable equipment or Dell Computers will recycle the components. This project also benefits the environment as it helps keep toxic waste out of landfills.
