Holladay was recently awarded the “Manette Tepe Volunteer of the Year Award” by the Boys and Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County. We are humbled and honored to receive this special award named after our very own Manette Tepe. One of the most important ways we live out our mission of ENRICHing lives through investment and service is by giving of our time. For decades, Holladay South Bend has partnered with the Boys and Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County to volunteer to mentor the Club kids. This year, eight Holladay team members committed to visiting the LaSalle site twice a week to help children with their reading and literacy skills through their STRIVE program. The program was not only fruitful for the children, but the Holladay team members also thoroughly enjoyed working with the kids to help move the needle when it comes to reading and writing. Also, throughout the school year and summer, Holladay associates help facilitate celebrations, attend field trips, clean up grounds around the clubs, and more!  Each Holladay team member is given 32 hours of paid-volunteer-time-off to volunteer each year at the non-profit of their choosing. We also give our non-profit partners a $20 stipend for each hour our associates volunteer. We can’t wait to come back next school year and participate in the STRIVE program!
