Holladay Properties has completed development of The Illiana, a new residential community in downtown Whiting, IN. Located at the southeast corner of 119th Street and Atchison Avenue, The Illiana is named after the historic Illiana Hotel, which occupied the site from 1928 until its demolition in 2018.

The five-story building features 4,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and 32 two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments ranging in size from 904 to 954 square feet. Holladay collaborated with the City of Whiting and Calumet College of St. Joseph on the project, with the college leasing 12 apartments for student housing.
