(Kansas City, MO) – In lieu of a holiday party for tenants, Holladay Properties’ management office in Kansas City hosted a book drive for a local charity, Operation Breakthrough. The organization is a haven for children to stay while their parents find and secure employment, enabling them to support their families. Volunteers care for infants to school-aged children, providing tutoring and support through high school, as well as investigate scholarship opportunities for higher education.

“David Lucas, Bennett Hughes and I are thrilled that so many of our tenants actively participated by donating new and gently-used books for Operation Breakthrough’s ‘birthday book closet,’ where children can ‘shop’ for their birthday gifts of age-appropriate reading materials,” said Sara Madson, Property Manager for Holladay Properties. “In past years, we have hosted breakfast and donut holiday events, and we know our tenants appreciate that the benefit of these worthwhile contributions far exceed any party gifts and treats.”

Countless local businesses work with this establishment, and Holladay Properties is honored and proud to be added to the list of active supporters and contributors.
