Diversey Building granted tax abatement

The Diversey Building, a planned 52,900 square foot commercial/industrial building to be located at 6340 AmeriPlex Drive in Portage, IN, has been granted 10-year tax abatement by the Portage City Council. The building is located within Holladay Properties’ 385-acre AmeriPlex at the Port mixed-use business park.

“We’re very excited about the Diversey Building coming to AmeriPlex at the Port,” said Mike Micka, VP of Development for Holladay Properties. “This is a unique building for us because it features commercial/retail space facing AmeriPlex Drive, and industrial space off of Prairie School Drive.”

The Diversey is expected to break ground in August with Holladay Construction Group serving as the General Contractor. The building features a six inch reinforced concrete slab floor, 24 foot clear ceiling height, six docks with recessed levelers and bumpers, and eight drive-in doors at 12 feet by 16 feet.

The Diversey Building already has a lease with Fagor Arrasate, who will occupy Suite 106 totaling 6,735 square feet. Fagor Arrasate is the world-wide leader in metal forming equipment and production systems and is based in Spain with six plants operating throughout the world.
